It’s that time again- the best time of the year… #NSale!!!
Pretty soon, you’ll be bombarded with every single blogger, and her mother (literally) jamming #NSale info down your throat, so I wanted to get this post out before that happens 😉
PLUS the catalog just dropped, and I can already tell, those pointy toe leopard bow mules are gonna be a HOT seller
Important dates to know:

I do look forward to this sale all year though! It’s the best because not only is it the kick off for all things FALL [I know, how can I even THINK about fall!? While I don’t look forward to the whole darker earlier thing, Fall is my absolute favorite fashion season!] but it’s all NEW ARRIVALS that are on SALE!
I opened up a Nordstrom Credit Card in 2014- my first year shopping the sale, just so I could shop early. Last year everything went SO quick and they did not do many restocks once public access opened up. I’m really hoping this doesn’t happen this year, but ya never know!
That being said, I thought I would compile a little list of my tips on how to shop the sale. I will also be doing multiple blog posts once the sale goes live, and insta stories of what I get and all sizing info. I just want to preface this post and that one by saying that I will ALWAYS give you my honest opinion on whatever I order, even if that means not liking the most popular item.
And if you see anything that you want my opinion on or to see on me to get an idea of how it will look on you, just shoot me an email, DM, or comment and I’ll do my best to order or try it on in store for you!
Now, lets get on with the tips!!
⦁ Go in with a game plan
Being that all of the items will be new FALL arrivals it is a good time to look at your current fall wardrobe, go through what you have, want to get rid of, and what you need.
Looking for cute booties? Hit the shoe section first!
Need some back to school denim? Check out the bottoms first!
Maybe a new handbag or backpack? Check them out first!
The sale can be a bit overwhelming, but having an idea of what you need and don’t want to miss out on will make the whole experience way easier.
PS if you’re a big blog supporter, keep your favorite bloggers page bookmarked or open so you can give her credit while shopping the sale. (You can check out my retailers tab for all my favorite retailers including Nordstrom!- Shopping through my links means so much and it allows me to continue to share awesome looks with you. I so appreciate all of you that think of me when shopping!)
⦁ Browse and shop the site early and often
If you see something that you want, order it immediately. I normally go through all of the pages and just add anything that remotely catches my eye and if I see something that looks like its selling fast or that I see promoted on a lot of blogs, I’ll place my order as soon as I add that item to my cart. Nordstrom offers free shipping and returns so even if you place 10 separate orders, it won’t cost you anything to ship. Their return policy is probably the best in the business and their customer service is on point, so if you order to much and have to return, is no big deal. A lot of stuff sold out on the first day last year and never came back in stock. So keep that in mind. That being said….
⦁ Open a Nordstrom Card
The best way to (practically) guarantee that you get the stuff you want is to open a Nordstrom card. If you’re a chronic shopper and are a Level 4 cardmember , the sale opens in store a day early for you. If you’re like me and not a millionaire, but you have a Nordstrom card, the sale opens earlier than if you don’t have a Nordstrom card.
You can apply for a Nordstrom credit or debit card here
⦁ Wishlist it!
If you don’t want to get a credit or debit card, and you’ll be shopping the sale 8 days after card holder access. If the stuff you’ve been eyeing goes out of stock, I highly suggest adding stuff to your wish list. You can add items and exact sizes to your wishlist and just keep checking that page for restocks. You’ll be able to see when something comes back in stock and just add it right to your cart and checkout. I ordered a PJ set last year at like 6am the day the sale opened and got an email either later that day or the next day that they could not fulfill my order, so thats just something to keep in mind.
⦁ What to expect from me
Although this is not a tip, I thought I would throw this in!
This is my favorite sale of the year, so I will be doing some damage. I’m not going to push the sale leading up to it cause every other blogger and their mother will be doing that. I will of course share all my faves, what I ordered, and hopefully some in store try ons of items you guys request!
I do have a full time job and won’t be available to drop in to Nordstrom and try things on at will, but like I said, I will try my hardest to be a good resource for you!
The day the sale opens I will have a whole blog post of items that I see that I love, and hopefully when I get home from work I can compile a better list for you!
⦁ Sneak Peaks!
Here are a few sneak peaks from the catalog that I have my eye on!
All of these links will be available once the sale goes live!
What are you looking for from the sale?? I would love to be a good resource for you!
I really hope this post was helpful! I look forward to shopping with you!
