As a dietitian, we are taught that good oral care is very important! And although I haven’t always been the best at my teeth cleaning routine (my nighttime routine is like 45 minutes long- ain’t nobody got time for that!) over the last year or so I’ve been really making sure to do all the teeth things before I go to bed-brushing and flossing!
Fun fact: I had braces for about 2 years junior year of high school and I still wear that same retainer every single night. At this point I can't sleep without it!

I have been using an electric tooth brush for probably close to 15 years (HALF MY LIFE!). My first one was an Oral B with the huge brush head, then I downsized to the Oral B with the circular brush head, which took some getting used to- it was so small! But I’ve always loved the way electric toothbrush’s clean my teeth.  The first electric tooth brush I had was battery operated and when the battery would die (and I would be too lazy to replace it) I would use my electrical brush as a manual and I always found that my teeth never felt as clean.

When smile brilliant reached out to me to try their own electric toothbrush I jumped at the chance! I’ve never tried any other brand before and I was intrigued to see if I would notice any difference at all- spoiler alert- I did!

The CariPro UltraSonic Electric Toothbrush has more of a buzzing vibration which actually took me 2 nights to get used to! It tickled my mouth- kind of like when they use that brush to scrub your toes when you’re getting a pedicure, that’s the best way I could describe it. I actually didn’t like it at first. But once I finished brushing my teeth, I realized how polished and smooth they felt, and there's really no going back from that feeling! I've been using  this brush for a week an a half at this point and I have that just-left-the-dentist feeling every time after I brush!
I promise the vibrations don't tickle as much the more you use it!

This brush has 5 different settings : Clean, White, Gum Care, Massage, and Sensitive. It’s the same vibration just varying intensity for each setting. I’ve been using the White mode mostly, but I’m not sure i’ve noticed a difference- it IS probably too soon to tell (I don’t drink coffee or red wine, or really anything other than water 🤷🏻‍♀️) but it’s definitely they highest intensity of all the brushing modes.
I do have a tendency to brush too hard without realizing it, which is a downside- my old toothbrush had a light that would go off whenever I brushed too hard, and this one does not. But the brush head is pretty soft and it doesn’t hurt if I were to push down a little harder than I should. The clean and sensitive settings would probably be best if you have more sensitive teeth.
The massage setting is pretty cool, it has a different vibration pulse then all the others, and it does feel good, along with the gums mode, on the gums when brushed lightly.

Another thing that I had to get used to was, in fact, the electric toothbrush head! It is definitely softer, and thinner  than any brush head that I've used, which is really only an issue when I brush my tongue. The electric toothbrush head does have a tongue scraper on the back, but I don’t find it scrubby enough- I've never used them before so it was no loss to me.

I love that the tooth brush is super lightweight and has a charger port- guys, toothbrushes with a small charger port are GAME CHANGERS! I just plug it in and it sits on my bathroom sink where it would sit anyway!
The toothbrush itself is water proof, so no need to worry about any charging parts getting soaked - trust me, this toothbrush takes a bath every morning and night!

When you're brushing, the timer on the toothbrush is set for 2 minutes, and it does go off after 2 minutes. If you want you could restart it again though. It stops buzzing for 1 beat every 30 seconds so you could change sides when brushing.

Overall I would recommend this toothbrush, especially because it makes my teeth feel so clean and polished- more than any other electric toothbrush I've ever used in the past!
